Wine With Bok - 9.25/10 Stars
The grapes for this 2021 vintage is sourced 50% from Chassagne and another 50% from Santenay. Upon a whiff and a sip, I have realized the very signature of Philippe Colin’s Bourgogne – oak infused bouquet and taste. For a Bourgogne to use oak barrels, it’s a very expensive and high-cost proposition. Thus, I have to salute Philippe Colin’s traditional winemaking skill of producing good wines without considering costs. Frankly, not many burgundy winemakers are willing to employ oak barrels for Bourgogne level. At this price, I would highly recommend white burgundy lovers to snap up the wine. Anyway, only six barrels of 500 litre is made, that is only 4,000 bottles of 750ml available throughout the world. We at Fine Wines has a small small allocation, thus quantity is very limited. Do pick it up before it’s gone!
