Wine With Bok - 9/10 Stars
A white wine from Rueda, Castilla Leon, Spain, this Rueda wine has received good scores from various critics, thus I strongly urge wine enthusiasts to give it a try. Made of 100% Verdejo grape, it has a fruity character and good structure. Aroma struck me with a strong presence of grapefruit and white peach, although in certain aspect it’s also similar to new world produced Sauvignon Blanc with it’s powerful fruity nose. Content is bright and cheerful, I do enjoy the great balance of fruits and acidity, with the acidity leaning towards grapefruit and a blend of lemon and lime. The only downside is that this wine’s content doesn’t penetrate the palate very well, it’s somehow relatively superficial. For example, I was having Iberico pork for dinner, and this wine could not cut through the fats of the pork.
