Pure Lime Transparency, with Feminine Elegance!

From the famed Montmains Premier Cru, a cool site known for giving wines high in acidity and mineral definition. Its oak Program has such a gentle touch, only a portion is vinified in older neutral oak just enough to add roundness without overwhelming the fruit.

Aged on lees in a mix of stainless steel and used oak barrels (no new oak) for several months to retain purity and tension. This is Chablis in its most transparent and terroir driven form. A delicate bouquet of lemon and lime greets the nose, followed by a palate that’s clean, layered, and subtly mineral.

Unlike previous vintages that leaned heavily into oak, this 2022 Montmains is lightly fruited, more refined, and showcases a multi-layered finish that lingers without weight. If you enjoy bright, elegant Burgundies with subtlety and minerality, this is your glass.

Why Bok Believes it is Great Buy:

This Montmains plays its lime note beautifully; a real signature of great Chablis. I love its transparency and light femininity. The balance is just right. At only $89, this is serious value for a Premier Cru!

Domaine Jean Dauvissat is a family-owned estate that has been producing exceptional wines since the 1950s. Founded by Alphonse Dauvissat, the estate is now run by Fabien Dauvissat, who joined the domaine in 2009 and has since focused on elevating their winemaking practices. The estate spans over 23 hectares across seven communes in the Chablis region, including the prized Montmains vineyard. Fabien's commitment to quality is evident in every aspect of the production process, from organic viticulture to the careful manual harvesting of grapes. With a focus on preserving the integrity of the terroir, Domaine Jean Dauvissat crafts wines that are rich, expressive, and true to their roots, with minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the cellar.
