1945 Ducru Beaucaillou Saint Julien
Even though the wine was alive, it did not live up to my expectations. The huge acidity on the palette keeps interfering my palette that I have to say it's to the point of superb irritation. Strong tannins are still lurking around, at 69 years old?! Turned tea leaves about 1+ hours later. Nose was typical Ducru Beaucaillou of intense coffee, cotton candy. The color of the wine was unbelievably young, deep crimson red! An interesting experience.
