1953 Rauzan Segla Margaux
DARK RED COLOR
One of the oldest wines tonight, yet the color was so dark red it certainly showed no sign that this bottle was 63 years old, the color would have fooled people into thinking it must be an 80s Bordeaux!
Great mellow and fragrant nose, typical of a Margaux wine. Palate was still very much alive and kicking even though it was soft, however very rich and mellow in style. Very enjoyable wine with totally integrated tannins. Was my 2nd favorite wine of the night.
