1958 Chateau Latour Pauillac
Mother Nature plays a big part in Bordeaux wines, and for once it even affected Latour, sadly. Nose was a typical Pauillac, in fact, very Latour with the typical smoke and tobacco leaves. The disappointment came from the palette; mainly the short finishing that bothers me. I once declared Latour is a label you never have to care about the vintage, but I may have to change my declaration after this disappointing 1958. My disappointment was similar to Latour 1953. Looks like there's no perfect label!
