1959 Domaine Leroy Grands echezeaux Grand Cru
HISTORICAL
It must have been a historical moment for me to drink this bottle. I was told that it was ex domaine provenance, that was crazy thought! At 57 years old, it was like yesterday! Bize Leroy only took over her father's negociant business just 4 years ago, I mean in 1955.
Nose of grass and game. It was certainly a very opulent wine. First impression was a rich wine, although it had a bit of weakness and turned woody towards the end. Great length. Thanks to Olivier who shared this gem with us.
