SOMMELIER SPOILED MY WINE
Was at an afternoon tasting in an upmarket restaurant, but the sommelier was obviously not experienced in serving old matured wine. My instructions were not followed strictly. I told him to decant before serving, he went on to decant the wine for more than an hour! You can imagine how mad I was, but luckily this was Lalande, still outperform! Beautiful thick leather nose, with refined fruits, except that it was fading and drying out after an hour in the decanter. Furious!
