1961 Gaja Barbaresco
REVISIT
I had this Gaja Barbaresco 61 perhaps 2+ years ago, didn't sing like this bottle. In any case, I never had very much luck with aged Barbaresco except this Queen of Piedmont.
Strong vegetal nose hit me fast and furious, and then faded away as fast as it came, then it was really easy on the nose. Extremely mellow and nice on the palate, with the charming cherry sweetness that melted my palate, savory and chewy, really impressive. However good time didn't last long, quickly dried up and faded.
