1961 Pape Clement Pessac Leognan

I just realized Pape Clement has been producing wines since 1300, and they’ve produced more than 700 vintages of wines! Armed with vast experience, on a super vintage like 1961, they took full advantage of it. One of the best Pape I’ve ever had.
First thing that striked me was how ripe the fruits were. Perfect drinking window right now for this 57 years old bottle, it smelled and tasted with some wet earth (rightfully so with a Graves wine). Stunning, speechless type of wine. My last bottle anyway.
