1962 Chateau Canon Saint Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classe
RUSTY IRONS
The rusty iron/metal nose was so dominating till I finished the bottle. After all, 1962 wasn't a bad vintage, just overshadowed by the 1961 vintage. A simple Canon was great enough to thoroughly enjoyed the wine. Obviously the tannins were totally integrated, left with some strong and powerful fruits, in fact mainly concentrated tea leaves, to be left for enjoyment. All I can say is that Chanel bought a value for money vineyard.
