1966 Chateau Montrose Saint Estephe
MATURED AND YOUNG
I have been writing on Montrose lately, 05, 78 and now 66. I do see a trend... this wine has very long lasting life, and in addition, the sweet girl next door decided to grow up; now fully matured but still extremely young and definitely have a long life ahead!
The cork fell into the bottle when we moved the wine, surprisingly it was still alive. Very sweet ripe fruits greeted my nose. The body was matured, tannins still lurking around, very lively and youthful. Excellent!
