1966 Malescot St Exupery Margaux
LASTING ELEGANCE
Regarded as one of the most perfumed reds in Bordeaux, it was no surprise that this 51 year old wine was still giving off some good aromas. It might not be great since the fruits have matured and died down a bit, but it proved worthy of its age.
This wine exemplified what an old wine should be like. It had earthy aromas, tobacco notes, and dried red fruits. The elegance and femininity of Margaux show immensely in the palate with dried cherries dominating.
