1970 Chateau Clinet Pomerol
A BIT RUNDOWN...
I had the Clinet 61 and I was so impressed with it, thinking Clinet in the older days were all great. Then I got utterly disappointed with the 82, and now borderline on 70. The nose was quite muted initially, then slowly showed dry tobacco leaves and espresso. Palette was relatively dry, looks like the fruits are over the prime already. Tasted more like a left bank Cab Sav dominated wine rather than merlot driven.
