1971 Haut Brion Pessac Leognan

I bought a case of this gem as I have a good friend who’s born in 1971. Before his birthday arrives, I want to open a bottle to taste. To my surprise, it’s in perfect condition. The color surely does not look like a 47 year old wine, still in dark ruby, almost the same color as Latour 89 next to it. It’s drinking perfectly, totally integrated tannins, smooth and pleasant, no rough edges at all. Only slight weakness is that it’s slightly diluted due to the vintage itself. Provenance is ?.
