1971 La Pointe Pomerol
Surprised, surprised! The nose has a lot of sweet prune & vegetal. The surprise came from the palette: very sweet prune, rich, and the wine is caressing my palette extremely well. Stirred with still tons of fruits & very dry tannins, hinting to me that this wine can still keep for a decade or more. Coming from an average vintage & not a well known Pomerol estate, I am impressed!
