1971 Lafite Rothschild Pauillac
This Lafite color was so light it looks like a weak burgundy, I was shocked. When I nosed and tasted it, I got all sorts of orange characters fresh orange, orange zest, then Mandarin orange, then dried orange skins, it's like the wine is made of orange rather than grapes! Nevertheless, it was a decent effort, until my friend screaming Parker gave it 60 points! Now I totally beg to differ, his scores are baseless, at 60 pts, the wine is not drinkable, but this one actually drinks very well. RP got it wrong
