1975 Ausone Saint Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classe
One of the better aged Ausone I had after many disappointing Ausone that I almost write off this label. Powerful on the palette, and hardly evolved over time, makes me think it was a hardy wine. At mid stage, the Chinese medicine of dang gui starts to show up (which is typical of aged Ausone), but not as obvious as 86 or 90. The last few sips, wine turned minty and no longer enjoyable.
