1978 Domaine Leflaive Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru
ABSURD ELEGANCE
It was perhaps once in a lifetime to taste such wines, not to mention it was standing next to a Leroy Montrachet 78, of which this bottle put Leroy to shame (read my past review).
Initially it tasted a bit of soap albeit with elegance. A sip and I was almost in heaven! It started off way too young and quite buttery, however, all these changed within 10 mins in the glass, turning out to be in perfect harmony, balance and absurd elegance. If you can find a bottle, dive in for it. Worth $$$!
