1978 Grivelet Chambolle Musigny Les Charmes
Wow, wow, wow! This was even better than the Grivelet Chambolle Musigny 66 that I posted it a few days ago! A friend jumped and claimed he smelled Abalone, and we all concurred, first time for red burgs! Then we detected the sweaty leather nose (like the leather wristwatch we normally wear) & turned smokey too. The palette, one sip & I fell in love with it. The type of charm (no wonder it's called Les Charmes), ultimate elegance & matured palette, like a very pleasant matured lady. Burg of the year!!!
