1978 Joseph Drouhin Clos De Vougeot Grand Cru
GREATEST BURGUNDY VINTAGE
I do consider 1978 as the greatest burgundy vintage, almost every bottle I've tasted was very impressive, not many labels fell short in 78, unfortunately Drouhin's Clos de Vougeot wasn't quite up to my expectations.
Slightly orange tinge on the nose, the palate was structured, light and lively, and repeating the orange flavor found on the nose. Somehow lacked the charm of most 78 burgundies sadly.
