ARMAGNAC IS NOT COGNAC!
Similar in characters as cognac, except that Armagnac was distilled once instead of twice for cognacs.
I get the choking almost pungent nose that hits me right in the face, signifying high alcohol. Not as mellow nor deep in flavor as cognac, it does share some similar character and tastes. Burning down the throat and fires in the heart, feels good to wrap up a dinner with a fine Armagnac.
