1981 La Conseillante Pomerol
I was served blind for this wine. Thought it was a left bank due to the Pauillac styled nose and turned minty after a while. You can see my face expression when I learned that it was a Pomerol wine! Very rounded, rich and certainly a big styled wine, not a typical La Conseillante that I knew of. Quite enjoyable. Thus don't overlook a decent vintage of 81, it certainly meets my expectations!
