1982 Chateau Clinet Pomerol
DISAPPOINTING 82 BORDEAUX!
I was having high hopes with this bottle. After all, it was from a great vintage, and a reputable winemaker, and the 89 I had recently was a RP100! So how bad can it be? Well, well, bad and ugly. First, the nose was vegetal, capsicum, already showing weakness. Palette felt the same, weak, unenthusiastic fruits. Saving grace was that, after half hour of decanting, plus some food, it actually improved a lot. But for 82, utterly disappointed for RP to overhype the vintage.
