1982 Chateau Montrose Saint Estephe
This is a matured wine with melted tannins already, ready to be consumed now or you can aged it effortlessly for another few decades. Typical St Estephe started from the nose: strong tea leaves and some matured cooked dark fruits on the nose. The Chinese tea flavor is even more pronounced on the palette, although I don't get the unique dark chocolate notes of Cos d'Estournel. Very powerful fruits, in a pleasant way, leads the wine to be very drinkable. Definitely not better than the memorable 1959 I had.
