1983 Cos d'Estournel Saint Estephe
DECENT COS
I'm surprised at the performance of this Cos d'Estournel 83 in a blind lineup of Bordeaux 83 wines. Old Cos are more classic style, I was nowhere near for my attempt to guess it (thought it was Haut Brion), this already showed how highly I regarded it.
Typical character of old Cos strong iron and copper nose, something like rusty steel.
Very vanilla driven on the palate, sweet, a bit dirty and dry. Nevertheless it was still outstanding.
