1985 Chateau Certan de May Pomerol
BORDEAUX 85 TASTING 4
We held a tasting of Bordeaux 85 today with a blend of left and right bank: Mouton Rothschild, Leoville Las Cases, Gruaud Larose, Ducru Beaucaillou, La Lagune, Canon La Gaffeliere, Figeac and Certan de May.
This was certainly a great surprise for the 85 tasting, wasn't a big label to boot, but it stood tall against the big guys. Tobacco dominated the nose. Surprisingly was still tannic and slightly harsh for a Pomerol, sweetness was quite overwhelming. Great effort!
