1985 d'Yquem Lur Saluces Y Bordeaux Superieur
LONG LIFE BORDEAUX WHITE Y d'Yquem is the dry white from Sauternes. A rather unique blend of 50% Savignon Blanc and 50% Semillon. The wine style is really unique by itself. Nose of pineapple hit me hard on the nose to start off with, then turned lychee and tropical fruits. Body of unique honey, honeycomb with layers of richer than normal sophistication, and very long finish, wrapped up the night we'll. I think it can age for 3 4 decades without a doubt just by judging from the sweetness of the wine.
