1985 Leoville Barton Saint Julien
#1 IN A 1985 BLIND TASTING
Leoville Barton hardly catches my attention except for the 85. I hosted a blind tasting of 85, with 15 bottles including some Mouton Rothschild and Margaux, this one came up #1 consensus vote! What makes Barton 85 so special? I'd say it is hedonistic, once you have a glass of it, you'll be hooked with the rich & sumptuous taste, slightly sharp and acidic, still relatively young as tannins are still intact, although the wine tasted very lively, the charm took my heart away :)
