1986 Chateau Trotanoy Pomerol
CULT WINE Trotanoy, a Pomerol appellation, I'd consider it as a cult wine status. Under the care of JP Moueix, every vintage keeps improving. I once asked the son Eduardo Moueix whether he preferred Petrus or Trotanoy, his answer was indirect: I cannot differentiate between certain vintages of Petrus or Trotanoy in blind tasting! This 86 was certainly too young: nose of extreme smokiness, later intense blueberry. Palette was light and impeccably soft, very contrasting to the nose character. Very lovely.
