1986 Leoville Barton Saint Julien
Another disappointing wine from a good vintage. Not that it's not drinkable, but it simply does not have the finesse nor elegance of a typical Bordeaux. 85 was far superior compared to this 86, was it affected by nuclear meltdown of Chernobyl in Ukraine?!

Opaque dark red violet color; lovely herbal, lavender and blackberry nose; tart berry, blackberry, black fruit palate with depth and sweet tannins; medium plus finish.
A 86. Not fantastic.
