1988 Chateau Giscours Margaux
WEAK
I was hardly impressed by Bordeaux wines produced in 1988, thus I tend to avoid them like a pest.
As expected, this Giscours was quite disappointing: very choking nose and slightly woody.
Body was extremely woody, the type of dry wood and not the oak wood. Fruits were weak and seems to be running out of life. Downhill all the way. Unless you have an excuse, I'd avoid.
