1988 Chateau Latour Pauillac
FIRST DISAPPOINTING LATOUR
My first time I didn't really enjoy Latour 88. I had this bottle a few times in the past, but never was disappointed before. I suspect it was a provenance and storage issue. While my notes didn't find too many faults with it, it was just a gut feel that somehow it wasn't right. Smokey and intensive vanilla on the nose, typical of a Latour Pauillac style. Moderately flavorful, rich, elegant, young and slightly diluted (probably due to the vintage).
