1989 Angelo Gaja Barbaresco
Another double blind wine served. A giant wine that was really powerful and extremely young, but the theme was 90 and older, so I had to settle for Italian 1990, but totally overlooked 1989. The nose was extremely minty, filled with shy eucalyptus. On the palette it was heavily Oakes, moderately high alcoholic content, very young, very rich, very fresh. Interesting wine. Too much wines to drink last night I didn't have volume to swallow so much wines, and I do not practice spitting. Gotta revisit!
