1989 Antonin Rodet Chambolle Musigny Les Armoureuses 1er Cru
It does not have the floral nose like most red burgundies, but I don't give very high scores to nose anyway, I prefer to evaluate a wine on the palette. This plot is and really should be promoted to Grand Cru, absolutely no problem to decant it for an hour as it's not the type of fragile Pinot noir. The wine is big, very structured, and a lot of depth and layering. Such wine can keep for 5 decades (with proper cellaring) without any problem. It will keep on improving.
