BEST BEAUCASTEL I’VE HAD
I didn’t have much expectations of Beaucastel as my experience was just average. However, 1989 was a great vintage, some of the CDPs I’ve had were fabulous, but I still have reservations on this bottle.
A sip and I was sold completely. It was simple and elegant yet so complex! Armed with 13 grape varietals, maximum permissible for CDP, it also tasted really complex with great depth. This bottle changed my perspective that Beaucastel cannot produce great CDP, sorry I was wrong!
