1989 Chateau Rieussec Sauternes 1er Cru Classe
FOR SWEET TOOTH
Obviously a sweet dessert wine that goes well with a birthday cake or some sweet desserts after main course. I liked this Rieussec for its sweet caramel nose. The beauty lies in the palettte whereby this wine is obviously sweet, but not overly sweet, which has a good balance of acidity with the sweetness, pleasant, loads of apricots at the mid palette. The only shortcoming was its short finishing. But it does wash down the sweet dessert very easily.
