1989 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
V8 ENGINE
I do consider Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet to be their best label although my opinion may change once I have a chance to taste their elusive Montrachet. 89 was not to be taken lightly, one of the best vintages in recent memory.
Palate was soft but muscular, really driving an effortless V8 engine car, you don't have to press the pedal to get it to speed up, it toned down effortlessly too. Unfortunately at 3 hours mark, the wine turned sugarcane and downhill, perhaps ran out of gas :)
