1989 Joseph Faiveley Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuees
Full deep black/red color.
This is not the Les Fuees I would expect feminine nose, light floral. On the palette, the wine feels fragile (not that fragile as it was in a bottle 25 yrs, quite long), floaty, feminine, soft but yet the flavor is full & rounded. I guess comparing to the JF Mugnier Les Fuees 90, it was really drastically different. I think Faiveley is a maker that prefers soft approach, whereas JF Mugnier is a powerful winemaker. There is no wrong or right, both has it's own charm. I do enjoy this bottle tonight, cheers!
