1990 Leoville Barton Saint Julien
Opaque dark red violet color; lovely herbal, lavender and blackberry nose; tart berry, blackberry, black fruit palate with depth and sweet tannins; medium plus finish.
Not many Bartons I liked but this 1990 is good. Very structure, very tannic & backward. Nose is aromatic, palette is very classic Bordeaux. I think this is one of the greatest Barton (arguably 85 was also very good).
