1990 Noel Verset Cornas
LEGENDARY STATUS
Noel Verset died at the age of 95, produced one of the most remarkable Northern Rhone wines. Not everybody would have agreed with this statement, including myself tasting the legendary 1990 vintage. It was certainly a priceless experience.
Perhaps too young for me. Hardly any nose with faint chemicals. The style was very big, earthy, and possessed a lot of gravel character and slightly medicinal, which reminded me a lot of Pessac Leognan character. I would take an Haut Brion any day!
