1992 Domaine de Chevalier Pessac Leognan Blanc
NOT MEDIOCRE
1992 was a mediocre vintage for Bordeaux, most reds were diluted and should be consumed early, but the whites were surprisingly resilient, perhaps due to the hardy Sauvignon Blanc grapes?
This famous Blanc was not inferior at all, nose was surprisingly muted for such age, although olive oil showed up later. High in acidity, fruits were of decent quality, similarly olive oil surfaced, along with thick liquid (not the kind of white burgundies finesse body). I enjoyed myself to the surprise.
