1992 Verget Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
Not the best Chevalier Mintrachet I had, nor was it the worst. I was happy when the bottle uncorked and not oxidized, as I had so many failures from this house (on other premier crus). When it was cold, the palette started off powerful and mineral, but then finishing very short. However, the wine really improved with time, opening up beautifully along the way, bouquet starts to turn elegant, complexity surfaces, everything gels. My finishing sip >2hr was soft and great. Am I drinking this bottle too young?
