1993 Chateau Lafleur

I have drank quite a few vintages of Lafleur, frankly, no vintage has impressed me so far, particularly not this weak vintage. For over S$500 a bottle for a poor vintage, unless you have too much money to spend, or you bought this wine long time ago, I would refrain from spending such money. I was made to guess this blind, but I was no where close to getting the label correctly although I was firm it was from Pomerol. It was extremely rounded (definitely due to the merlot character), light, all integrated tannins, slightly woody and definitely old school classic Bordeaux.
我喝过不少年份的花堡，老实说，没有几次我脱口说哇！好酒！，更别说这个弱年份了！要我掏腰包还500块钱买这瓶酒还真不如80块钱的波尔多酒，这就是喝牌子，内容空洞。我是在盲品情况下才得到这个结论的，只猜到是右岸波美侯的酒，一点都没有想到是大名鼎鼎的花堡。虽然内容非常柔顺（因为梅洛的风格），轻飘，丹宁已经非常融化，带有一点木材口味，非常传统的酿酒技术。
