1993 Domaine Bachelet Ramonet Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru
Bachelet Ramonet has no connection to Domaine Ramonet, except they both have plots in Puligny Montrachet. This Bartard Montrachet possessed pretty good holding power. Served next to Pierre Morey’s killer Meursault Perrieres, it held up against the 5 stars rated label. Nose was powerful and slightly oxidized. Content wise, this Batard had decent balance, big but rough. After 1.5 hours, it was still drinking very well and no sign of fading. Astonishing holding power!
