1993 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
WEAK
1993 wasn't a great vintage for white burgundies, thus it's not surprising that this vintage in a lineup of three vintages of Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet ended up last.
I quite enjoyed the nose; strong wood, very graceful, elegant oak, with a tinge of apricot as well.
Mellow acidity, lacked layers and depth compared to other Chevalier Montrachets. Palate was relatively weak, I wouldn't pay the money for a weak vintage of Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet. Save it up for recognizable vintage!
