THE PLOT NEXT TO BATARD MONTRACHET ..
Les Pucelles is situated next to Batard Montrachet. From a good maker like Leflaive, it can rival any grand cru white burgundies. This one lives up to the expectation? Not too bad from a lesser known maker.
Matured green apple nose, slight toilet detergent. Extremely fruity, big, bold, rich then slowly reached a mellow and pleasant stage, rather balanced. Seems to mature faster than expected. I'd say I'm relatively satisfied with it.
