1993 Maison Bertrand Ambroise Corton Le Rognet Grand Cru
I still stress that burgundy is about the right drinking window, if the ideal window is not opened, it can be a disaster. This one was near disaster; tight, tannic and very structured, even with an hour of decanting did not help it to open up, it is very frustrating that a wine of 19 years old still preformed like a young teenage kid. Frankly, it probably deserved 4.5 stars, but I could not see the drinking window at all, maybe another 15 years of ageing? I don't know.
