1994 Chateau L'evangile Pomerol
TANNIC VINTAGE, SPOT ON ...
Served double blind. I get loads of charred smoke as well as very woody nose, and I'm already jumping to conclusion that it has to be from a poor vintage.
The palette was another giveaway, extremely dry, more like drinking the wine pressed from the grape skin rather than grape juice, thus I was spot on with 1994 vintage here, but have lack of idea of the appellation. Was really surprised to hear its a disappointing L'evangile from a poor vintage.
