1994 Chateau Rayas Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve
POOR VINTAGE RAYAS
Served blind. Such label on any given day should have given a five stars rating, but tonight we only drank weak vintages, so the expectations were muted and toned down.
Nose was very woody and creamy. Palate does have a sweet charm, slightly herbal, very decent length. Thick and lush, I find it continued to improve in the glass and turned very charming.
I'm looking forward to try a proper Rayas from a great vintage.
